As this is being written, NPR is reporting that, well, it looks like Hurricane Gustav is not going to be so bad. Let's hope they're right.
Meanwhile, McCain is making a big political show of "suspending politics" to deal with the disaster. What, exactly, that involves besides talking about what a selfless, America First kind of guy he is, who knows? Some people will buy it, though.
But let's not forget where McCain was on the day Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.
