This Might Work

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and George Bush?

Lipstick.

The more the wacko right thinks they know about Sarah Palin, the more they like her. Most people had never heard of her 2 weeks ago, so while commentators and news reporters sat slack-jawed at the recklessness of McCain's selection of her as his running mate, they allowed the Torture Party to define her for everyone.

The problem is, what they described is not Sarah Palin, and now the Dems have less than 2 months to set the record straight. This cannot be done with just the facts. It's all about framing. As McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis said, "This election is not about issues. This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates." And that's how they're running their campaign.

So what is to be done?

A possible approach is "Sarah Palin is George Bush in lipstick."
